Chesterfield Ink: Antique Copper

I bought this ink a few months back in preparation for the fall. I wasn’t really impressed with it, but then again I was using a medium nib. With the TWSBI 1.1mm nib, this ink really is a joy to use. Even though we are well into December, I am enjoying the richness of this brown, rustic color.

The 1.1mm nib is a decent width. While it’s not quite italic, it’s great for hand lettering! The nib is also helpful in making somewhat ugly ink look good. Like the Antique Copper pictured above.

This copper color is easy on the eyes and isn’t distracting. I used it for journaling today and can say that overall, I’m happy with the way it turned out. It’s a fairly even ink. There’s little color change in the strokes of my letters, which, when using a broad nib, surprised me.

Enjoy and Happy Scribbing!
