Noodler’s Lexington Gray

My ink order arrived today from gouletpens.com. I ordered my husband an ink (his first!!) and of course picked up myself one as well. I ordered Lexington Gray because for one, I like gray. And two, I live in Corpus Christi, Texas– home of the USS Lexington!

I enjoy Noodler’s ink. I think it out performs its price every time. The only disappointment was it’s in a plastic bottle. Womp womp womp. I knew they switched to plastic bottles some time ago, but I have been fortunate enough that in the last three bottles I’ve purchased to receive a glass one. It’s disheartening, but it’s the same ink. I can always get my hands on a glass bottle. I’m just superficial like that.

It’s a rich gray that doesn’t have a lot of color variation. Which is different than my other gray: Flannel Grey by Private Reserve. That one sort of looks like a rain cloud. The Noodler’s is a lot darker than I anticipated, but that’s not a bad thing. My dad calls it “Battleship Gray” and that really does sum it up well.

Enjoy and Happy Scribbing!
